DETAILS

"What's the relationship between creativity and trust?" At Playback, we believe every situation that arises, whether good or bad, gives us an opportunity to use our curiosity. The session will include improvisation, movement, meditation, and reflection. Lunch is provided. Please note: This is not a performance. About the facilitator: Cequita Monique has been a performing artist and arts educator for over 25 years. Cequita Monique has received the Memphis Theatre Award for Excellence as a lead actress in both a musical and drama. She has performed locally and abroad. Cequita Monique retired as a flight attendant for the airlines for over 10 years to commit to this creative ministry. She continues to work professionally as an independent artist in creative and academic environments performing virtually and live. Cequita Monique is also a professional ensemble member of Playback Memphis and an Orpheum Theatre Group teaching artist. In 2019 Cequita founded “The Culture House” a nonprofit organization that produces, performs, and preserves the culture of Memphis. Thank you to the Tennessee Arts Commission, the Memphis Medical District Collaborative, and the University of Tennessee Health Science Center for making this program possible. Playback Memphis relies on the support for individuals and organizations to bring its work into the community. Please consider making a donation so more people in our city can enhance their well-being and resiliency through Playback's unique story-sharing practice.
